Did you take him to VSH on Tryon Rd just off Cary Parkway? We've had ours treated there and they've always treated us well.

a couple years back the wife and i and the 2 mutts were walking in town, dogs on a leash as required by law (and common sense when next to traffic). we come around a corner and there is a husky tied to a clothes line setup. he could run back and forth, not get tangled up and i thought "damn good idea"
till
the husky saw my 2 dogs and decided to haul butt down to say "hi", sadly we were on the other side of the street. when he hit the end of the line he flew, i mean flew, all 4 feet off the ground, table top at the end and land on his back with a thud. i rushed over to make sure he was alright and the owner comes on the deck ... "he does that all the time, he is fine" ...

i stopped tying up my dogs decades ago. i teach them from pups to stay in the yard but then i work from the house so it is a lot easier for me than most.

$4K in vet bills, ouch. i applaud you loyalty and all of us thank you for the heads up.

Hey Wayne. Hope everything is going well for you up there. Ever find anyone worth a lick for your work?

The hole thing about posting this entire thing was to hopefully keep this from happening to someone else's animal. If it just helps one person / animal out there then this post did its job. And no i will never put another lead line at my place again even the type you were talking about.

i know we all appreciate the heads up. i hope i didn't come across condencending or critical, didn't mean to.
yah, i ended up hiring a Jeeper who wanted to be a cruiserhead but couldn't afford to fix the old BJ42 he had. excellent help, common sense, asks questions, very smart.

Thats cool. No by no means did you come off that way.

I just mainly wanted to get it out there this stuff can happen.

Glad you got a good worker, man. They are hard to come by / find now adays.

agreed, good help is hard to find. trainable is harder yet.
i didn't see a pic of the pup ...

Well shoot. Got to fix that. There were alot of people here when the wife brought him home. I think we were working on Adams ride that he now wants to sell, but that is another thread of itself.

Here you go as of about 30 minutes ago.

Holy crap!!! That's one big dog! I remember when you brought him home.

Thought you said you had a big dog:confused:

That's a Boerboel, right? I love those dogs. Sorry I couldn't make it over today, an RAF friend showed up in the states.
