Original 78 Tire size?

I'm taking my 40 back to original specs, or trying to, and I can't seem to figure out the tire size? I have been told 205/75R15, and I saw a 40 that had the Original tires still on it! and they were 225/75R15, Dunlop. Does anyone know what was the original tire size from the Factory?

76/78/83 owner's manuals show the FJ40 as having H78-15 as the standard size. The metric sizing used on the FJ40

Correct. My '78 came with the Dunlap Mud and Snow tire. My first vehicle with four wheels brand new from
Big Two Olds Toyota.

The H78s are about 225/75-15.

It was H78-15 until at least 1984, and on the 60's too. I have my original H78-15 dunlop mud and snow spare in the garage, with no miles on it.
