OPOR Sliders, if you were ever on the fence about sliders it's time to get off!

Curious, will you powder coat yourself or getting it locally done. OPOR does it for $150. Is that reasonable?
If you ever intend on actually using your sliders I would paint them rather than powder coat because touch up is Super easy when they are painted. Once you hit the first rock and scratch that powder coat you'll have wished you just rattle canned the sliders.

My $.02

I second the rattle can option. Touch up is way easier and cheaper via the rattle can option. Rustoleum as a professional line (silver can) that holds up really well for spray paint.

Just ordered myself a set! 4 wk back order right now but I'm not on any time crunch. Thanks warezdog for posting up the discount info.

I'm telling you guys you're going to be BLOWN away when you put your paws on these things, they're flipping stout and look amazing. Be two more weeks until I find the time to get some zinc primer and blitz black them but I'm stoked,

Thanks again LT for the discount, it wouldn't have been possible this year without that extra "push"

Any pics of them mounted up? Do you drill holes & bolt them or do the bolts go above and below the frame?

you're going to be stoked when you see them and LT is extending the sale until the 31st for those still on the fence

Hmm, I thought I'd missed it...now I might have to get in on these...

I'd say jump, two years ago when MT had the sale on Ironman 4x4 bumpers and the Engo's they also had their MT slides on sale. At the time
I could only come up with enough scratch to get the front bumper and winch, and have been waiting ever since for a set of sliders so when these came up I decided to not eat for a week, it was well worth it too!

Going to use the zinc primer and with any luck shoot these over the weekend time permitting, I also think you could bung these and use them for air tanks but I don't know if I'll have time to play around with that idea as I just want them on the truck!

also, I had a guy custom fab me some sliders and he used a rattle can bed liner instead of PC
after a few months, there was surface rust on top of the black rattle can material

is this most likely because he didnt use primer before shooting it with the black? ( i know he didn't.. he did the whole job out of his garage in 3 days and there were only bed liner spray cans in the trash)

just to clarify, when you say bolt on, you also mean no drilling required right? It will use all the existing holes in the frame?

No drilling at all, the large square U bolts go around the frame and then thru the plates on the sliders, if I have time I'll open the hardware box and take some pics

Yes, he at least should have shot it first with some rustoleum to stop the rust first, once started rust will never cease to spread, Lance at IPOR says they use super zinc impregnated primer first to abate any rust issues.

Question, will they work with the front mud flaps?
I think they will but not 100% sure

If I had the extra hundy I would have bought the full dimple plate front to back.

Thanks for information on the discount....makes it affordable. What is the difference between standard and one with full dimple plate?

Cheers.

The full dimple just fills in all the space between the 2x4 and the tubes from front to back, it looks exactly the same as the short dimple you see in my pics on page one.

You say they shipped yours using Road Runner but their site says Echo. Good thing is both of them have a terminal w/in 40 miles of my house. I'm going to call Jennifer Monday morning and get a quote for shipping to Dallas!

Definitely call, the website pricing for shipping should be considered worst case, terminal pickup is even cheaper than commercial addy with a dock too.
