Didja try sizing up the amp within the quarterpanel?
Here's how I installed both of my amps:

Not pretty, but with the interior panel in place, who gives a $h!t?![]()
Is that board glued to the qtr?
Yep
Both wood bars and glued using 3M Epoxy resin
Couldn't yank it off if I tried![]()
I am worried about having it INSIDE the quarter panel for air circulation and what if I hit it going off-road? the amp would take a big hit. Inside it wouldn't be as bad.... but that looks really nice the way you have it. Makes me re-think installing it there.

Another suggestion that I would have is to make a custom box. You can get the sub specs from the manufacturer and build it out .75" mdf.
For 'tight' bass, the sub I have works best in a 1.3 cft sealed enclosure. What I have is about 1.2 cft. Shouldn't be too far out of the 'sweet spot'?
