So @Rice , is your wife following in the footsteps of "The Librarian", or is she the true life inspiration for "The Librarian"?

If you happen to have cell service where you are you can also use your phone like a walkie talkie with the correct app. I remember cell phones being used as two way radios as far back as mid 90s.

You have to take a class to use it something right?

Licensed with the FCC which requires a test, yes. But, there are 3 levels of licensure and the first level is a 35 question EASY test. License is good for 10 years. The 2nd and 3rd licenses grant users added bandwith but all that is needed to operate on 2 Meters and 70 centimeters is the "Tech" license.

Only from 10 to 4? That's not really the whole day is it? ;)
With ADD on the rise, affecting 20-85% of this very club, that's all the attention we could give. Was that a squirrel?!

Question: Ya know how when you do a project yourself instead of hiring it out, the generally accepted rule is that it's OK to spend the money you saved on tools? Does anybody actually stop buying when you've reached the savings amount? Or buy a nicer version of something you already have (so that you'll have at least TWO of something that you can't freaking find when you need it)? Please don't tell my wife or accountant that I'd be richer for hiring somebody.
