I posted in classifieds a few months back, with no replies of military tires .... Actually looking for the 40x12.50x20 XML's now and not the 325 85 16's ...

front and rear. longest stroke length stud style shock i could find. they have teflon seals and giant shafts. heavy valving also. i got 4 for 189.98 with free shipping. in stock items at iron rock offroad. nice folks to deal with.

this is from experiance. i have had a couple sets of these particular dampers. they are a very good shock. if they had removable end caps, id say they are every bit as good as any other 2.0" diameter shock fro sure.

You're gonna want new control arms to adjust for your caster, then those 39s will stuff all the way up to a 2" bumpstop extension and not scrub in the front (unless it's flare) and it's easy trimming (or just let the behemoths self clearance your fender, any cuts that happen in the tread aren't bad) in the rear.

Thanks for the good words! Honestly, I plan on placing a angled link bracket on the inside of the frame. from there I will make a simple DOM upperlink with a 1-1/4 heim/spacers on one end, and poly bushing on the other. I will do a link tower on the upper axle housing, and will also hack the front of the radius arms off at the first bushing. i will then box the front mounts like mini skids. This will become a working 3 link with panhard configuration. I just have to get underneath and stare some more to see where things are gonna go..castor will be limitless..i'm also going to extend the sway bar links. I'd like this to drive like it does now..relatively speaking!
