The shop that installed my OME lift put the shackles on incorrect. What is the proper orientation for the anti inversion shackles? Pics please!

Old Man Emu suspension — Exploring Overland
Let’s be honest: Drivers of newer Jeep Wranglers, first-generation Land Rover Defenders, and Mercedes Benz G-Wagens—all of them equipped with solid axles front and rear but also supple coil suspension—have every right to snicker at the 19th-century leaf springs gracing all four corners of 1984-1999www.exploringoverland.com
pretty detailed intallation and you get the pictures of the shackles installed the right way![]()
And I hate say it but I believe your front springs are on backwards. Looks like the military wrap end with the yellow rectangle is installed on the shackle, should be on the fixed frame pin end...your rear spring looks to be orientated correctly. The shop that installed my OME lift put the shackles on incorrect. But hey at least on the rear they only got the shackles backwards, on the front they got 'em backwards and upside down.![]()

Not worth dealing with them again since they’re in Utah and I’m in CA. I had it done when I was out there on a trip. The shop was impulse off-road, recommended by cruiser outfitters. They refunded the labor.Go back to the shop and ask them to re-do correctly.
If they didn't know or weren't sure, they could have and should have asked.
Did you inform Cruiser Outfitters of this shoddy work by Impulse off-road?Not worth dealing with them again since they’re in Utah and I’m in CA. I had it done when I was out there on a trip. The shop was impulse off-road, recommended by cruiser outfitters. They refunded the labor.
