Old Yella gets a 5th gear!

Sliders could well have helped, he got hit, done a full 360 degrees in the air and landed almost in someone's front yard. Broken driver's side rear springs, severely dented sill. Afraid that the chassis will be twisted after being hit that hard, it's real proof in how strong these old girls are that he and his dogs were able to walk out.

Hey dingbat. This thread was very useful and works a treat. Had to do the same on my 1984 Hj47. Had so many people tell the bell housing were different

@dingbatt .. great thread and photos thanks.. keen to tackle this upgrade.

I have one question.. those twisted transmission mount rubbers. Did they look ok after you reverted back to the HJ47 Bell Housing?
