I use Partsouq for almost everything Toyota, probably 95%. If they do not have it, good luck finding it and it is almost always cheaper and gets here faster.

That is just plain hard to beat. I tried shopping in country but it was just too big a hassle. I get on Partsouq, order what I want, get it cheaper and faster, 99% of the time. No brainer. It's a world economy to anyone with a Keyboard.
It’s funny, the local Toyota dealer is less than 5 minutes from my house, but I can get parts faster and cheaper from the United Arab Emirates with the souq. As you say, “it’s a world economy.”

Partsouq was too expensive to ship this time, too heavy for endlinks and steel tubes, otherwise I Have been using them since I got my 80. The one that pops now when I do internet search is Hendricks Toyota in Concord, and their internet prices are pretty good. Now, if you call them they cannot help themselves, but via internet works awesome with local pickup. When i forgot the little door clips from Partsouq, and would have been $3 in parts and $15 shipping, Hendricks was $4 in parts and my son picked it up In 2 days. So I use them too when shipping gets too high. Scott Clark Toyota I still call just in case, but for the love of god they need to figure out how to answer a phone.

Got a break to check steering, old stuff was tatty and very loose. The rods came out okay and the ends too, reusing the clamps where I can. The tubes are so bent it’s amazing. Now, the end link on the relay, the one connecting to the pit arm, doesn’t turn easily on the old or new rod so just ordered a new one.
Before removing them, I measured the nut to nut distance and will set it up that way when reassembled. Then get the wheel centered and go for alignment.

3D printed new sliders fo the internal roof vents! This is awesome! So air comes in through front roof intakes and fills the cavity between the internal and external roof. These 4 vents, which only the non moving piece was left, can be open or closed to let fresh air in.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors cruiser! Man that's nice!

Well, steering done. Everything is in and torqued. Still need to center the steering wheel and get it aligned. Wheels do rub a little on the tierod links, even with the spacers. So new wheels will be a necessity now, not a luxury, need proper spacing.
On the relay rod, have about an inch and a half thread engagement. It’s the only bar that could have been a little longer. I can center the steering wheel with it but alignment first.

Went for a drive to Dave’s place yesterday, tested tires, and the steering was very straight and smooth. Somewhat productive today, installed the new power on cabin light (spare license plate LED) onto dash, wires behind it.
Then replaced the rear differential pinion seal, and that was a challenge to get in. Until I watch a video and they guy hit it with a dead blow hammer first. Used the hub socket and whacked it with the 3pounder, no more issues after getting it started like that. Kept popping, guess I was being too light..
And the new spring clamps came, one side was missing them completely and the springs would separate on the lift.
Removed steering wheel to give it a good cleaning, clean the contacts, etc. Then disconnected the horn when putting the pad back on (could still hear the relay going), and now I have no horn. I dont even hear the relay so maybe I burned it, who knows.... No more clicking relay, no more horn. I am sure the relay is not the standard one, so another adventure begins.

Horn fixed, needed new relay. Mine uses a Hella 4 pin relay, not the Toyota 3 pin. i just replace, and don’t ask...

Cabin heat.... I could not remove the square plugs and was afraid of using too much heat and force. Coolant was bubbling out for pete's sake! So I bowed to the engine, and just removed the original insert for the temp sending unit and secured the barbed fitting to that. Then cut off the line that was coming into the heater from pump and plugged that with a brass plug.
Sunday I will have the inline adapter for the temp sender and will get the temp gauge back to work. But for now I am just enjoying great cabin heat, no more cold air coming in from heater.

And finally got the adapter for the sending unit, had to get 3 small parts to mount the sender, but works. wasn‘t grounded here yet, was testing it. Heat and temp readings!

Saturday at Uwharrie, taking the 43 througo the obstacle course and driving some mild private trails. It was awesome! The low gear is out and the throttle input so steady it runs like a tractor. The KO2s got filled with clay and was the low point. But otherwise great experience. Driving there was good too, 55-60 mph all the way with no issues.

Clutch slave cylinder leaks a bit, so was looking at it this morning a little closer and... isn’t there supposed to be a nut on this side? There is a nut behind the fork, but not on this side towards the back of the truck. And the spring is missing too

There should be a nut and the spring will definitely help with clutch judder.
I was thinking that too. After the game will see if I have a spring that will fit.

Well, waiting for slave cylinder and fuel filter to come in. Yesterday drove around and noticed it was hard to get in gear after a while, got home and clutch fluid was empty, leaking has gotten worse.
Meanwhile ...
Added a pair of milk crates bolted to seat bolts to hold the crap back there. Was thinking about making a wooden box when I found these for $6 at Homedepot, too easy to pass up. Will add the Jerry can on the other side.

Replaced the slave cylinder today, used the original rod as the one that came with Aisin part was too short. Bled the system by gravity and by pressure , but the pedal remains soft on first pump. There’s no air in it....any ideas ?

It’s an old truck. Not surprising it’s a little soft with the first pump. Probably has a hard time peeing too.
