I did give them the $100 so I could have the option. I don't think it likely I will get one (too big and pricey for me), but I really like that they are being built relatively nearby. I hope to get down to the plant for a future event that is open to the public.

I dig them... I also dig the savings in fuel. My previous neighbors Tesla ran about $5-6 depending on usage hour for a 350 mile range. Our diesel Jetta on its best day is currently around $35 for the same range. My tundra on its absolute best mileage i've ever got in it (60 MPH all highway no stops) is around $75.

But i'm in the same boat..... I can't remember the last time I even spent more than 10k on a vehicle let alone whatever these cost.
