Oops, I forgot, BIG exhaust leak. I think it is coming from that plate that below the exhaust that moves to heat up incoming air. plate is long gone and I think there is holes there now... Just weld this shut or what?

Duane, is this something you can fix when you do the exhaust?

look at your manifold.. total of 5 bolts holding the bottom to the top. intake manifold to exhaust. i just set an intake and exhaust manifold outside to go to my neighbor's scrap pile but can easily send it to you. it's a 1f manifold etc.. and see if you need these gaskets. I can send either or both via the normal parts shuttle tomorrow if you need. i'm honestly tired of holding onto this manifold so if you need it holler now or it's scrap. I was going to cut the bolts holding the 2 together and sell the intake on ebay but didn't really want to mess with it..

and yes if the flapper is gone you can weld it shut or just stick a bolt in there for now. if you know someone that can weld cast with the proper rod that's what you really need.. mig makes mud of it but can be done just not pretty or very well.. i'd see if you can find someone to weld it with a stick. sadly probably best if it's not on the truck tho. and no i'm not sending a spare intake manifold gasket to you. I think butler grabbed my last spare.

you have a manifold, manifold to intake gaskets, and a remote in the parts shuttle located by your house/office/kids school..

Please do not return anything in that delivery, it left the garage and went to a new home is all that matters to me.. I've honestly never used those gaskets they've sat in the drawer for years and they come with intake manifold gaskets every time i purchased one. I normally ran headers on all my 2f's over the years so i'm sure there are more lying around somewhere if you need them.

Congratulations and I am glad the time I spent walking isles of cars at the salvage yard and fitting all of this stuff together paid off. The geo power brake setup (using Aisin parts) is the only booster I found in the acres of cars that fits properly on early cruisers, looks good, and works very well.

Here is the adapter mark makes for the Fj to convert to using later model power booster.

The larger hole one is the one I had to make to use the GEO master. The OD of the bore area was larger and it could be shorter overall

Well, it looks great, but honestly have not driven it enough to tell you. In fact, I have not driven with the booster hooked up, as a few other projects and the new job put a damper on progress. Hope to be back out there in September....

Spot in the garage..... you mean the one that I should be in working on my rig??? Ha... I wish.

On the rock laying... when I say "rock", I should say man made concrete rocks.... The field area is pretty easy to do, but you spend a lot of time hunting for the right size rock when you come to a small area or a corner. It really is a two person job. One laying the stone, and one hunting for the right rock. You can see in the one picture a 4x8 sheet of plywood with rocks small on the left and long on the right. This is a MUST if you ever do this. You still have to hunt for the right thickness, but at least you have a fighting chance to get the right rock.

I still need to do the firepit surround, then I can hide the extra boxes of rock until needed later. This project will be put off until it gets cooler.

Kelly how much of the SPI urethane reducer did you use? have any left? Seems a waste to buy some when it migth appear I only need two shot glasses full.
and BTW.. To THE TOP with this thread..
