The kit came with 3 total USB plug ins wired directly to the headunit. I used them with my phone to do the Apple Carplay wired in. I did not need to buy a separate wired or wireless dongle. I now mainly use the Apple Carplay via bluetooth. Both methods work great. I believe Android auto may only be used via wireless (I do not have an android so definitely research that further).Well I'm convinced this is the route I want to go with.
Couple follow ups, to connect your phone to the Teyes system, are you using their wireless or wired dongle for Android auto / Apple Car play, or can you just plug straight into the Teyes system (and does it charge the phone this way).
Have you gotten the rear camera wired up yet, if so how hard was it to connect? Does it automatically come on when you shift into reverse like the factory camera? I saw on the Teyes Australia site they have an upgraded Sony backup camera I was thinking about getting it with the dash camera. Also wondered about their 360 camera system but not sure about drilling the mirrors or if they can be used as rock cameras.
Thanks.
I did buy the Teyes Sony rear camera, but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet. The factory backup camera does not work with CC3. I do have the Teyes front facing/dash camera installed and working and it is awesome! I would highly recommend that.
