Toyota, in their infinite wisdom has decided to discontinue the 90915-20004 oil filter  and replace it with a 90915-YZZD3 that is made in Thailand.
There is a limited supply of 20004's left. I suggest you stock-up if you like them.

I think some of us have already gotten something from your country, Mike, and we unfortunately can't get rid of it...

I would imagine that properly stored it would be quite some time, a few years anyway.

"how many you gettin' for yourself "

I plan to stash at least 30 for myself. I change every 3k miles, that will get me to 200k.

just 2(maybe 3) of em, the rest are all runners. Never have had any(knock on wood) engine problems, change oil 2500 miles, Wix filter.

Just got me 20 -- so I'll have 38 of these in the closet -- for 142K more miles of driving --

-- I just hope things turn out as I plan -- !!

Is the big dog filter still available?

This is the same filter for the 3FE right? Just bought one last night, I'm anxious to see if I can tell the difference.

As of now the 15600-41010 "big dog" is still serviced.

With that kind of interval I don't think you even need a filter ;)

So the YZZB5 becomes the good filter???
There is the T(u)RD filter, it makes you go faster. Add that to the T(u)RD oil fill cap and you will add 25hp to the 1FZ :flipoff2:

Actually the YZZB5 is also being replaced by the 90915-YZZD3.

Is it possible the new one is not that bad?
