So I finally flew into Houston to pick up my GX. Thankfully it was everything it was represented to be. 116000 miles with full service records. The lot is getting a lot of trade ins from the local Lexus dealer. Drove to Lafayette LA last night and got back home about 2 today. Drove awesome and I got just over 18 mpg coming back. Now I have a room full of wheels, coilovers, springs and shocks to install when I get the time!!

This forum has been a wealth of knowledge and I’m inspired by the builds in here. I have following the Blue Steel build by 470SNC very closely.

Will be good to see your build. I think that is my favorite color....besides white, white is boring, but a GX looks good in white. I'd love to have the Toyota brown-desert-sand color.

Wait, I thought you.... Oh you'd wraped it tan, huh, not paint.
Was that just temp?

Nah, that was someone else's GX

Lol..the lift kit is going on first. I have the parts..possibly next week. I do have a question. What is the life of the LCA bushings on GX 470's?

Started last night and got the rear finished with suspension. Still need to finish running my air lines for the Firestone bags.

116000 on the airbags and they were functioning as were the shocks. Firestone suggests a min pressure of 5psi and a max of 35.

I'd help get those take-offs off your hands and out of your way ...

Leaking fluid or not, shocks/struts with 116k miles are well shot. I don't know where this myth started that shocks are fully functional unless/until fluid is coming out of 'em...
