Anytime brother. Bring your daughter. Mike, Brett and Dom came by last week to check it out. I really won't be able to do anything but look at it for a while, but couldn't pass it up. Let me know.

I am still looking forward to meetinng more of you, I really want to make it to a get together. The Navy has me so damn busy that I don't know when that will be, but I will do all I can to meet as many members as I can.

Hi,
My name is Cliff and I live in Oceanside. My first vehicle was a 73 FJ-40 that I drove throughout high school and beyond until it disappeared. It has been 10 years since I owned one but I just bought a 78 FJ-40 in Nov 09. I had it shipped down from San Francisco having only seen pictures of it. I have been pretty busy getting it ready with the typical improvements. I also have a 2004 4runner as my daily driver but I have taken it out a few times to Santa Margarita Peak and on Camp Pendleton.
I have been on mud for about six months and I guess I'm a knucklehead :bang: for not knowing or thinking about a San Diego section. I'm glad to have found it.
Does anyone plan a meet and greet anytime soon or better yet a drive?

Welcome- I think I met you last year about this time- I crashed a few of your groups meetings while I was working in Vegas.

Hey guys. Just wanted to introduce myself real quick. My name is James and I recently became the owner of a 94 80 series cruiser. Got lots of plans for it, time, money, and workspace permitting. Ive owned an 86 bronco II, both a 77 and 78 bronco, and a 81 cj7. All were modified pretty heavily. . After reading a ton about LC's I decided it was going to be my next vehicle. I want something a little more tame, and a little more comfortable that I can use for snowboarding, camping, and whatnot. I have a basic mechanical knowledge, and I hope to learn more so I can eventually do all my own work. Id love to meet any of the local cruiser owners and I love to learn about anything vehicle related. SO if anyone needs an extra set of hand for a project, let me know. If I am available Id love to help out, and hopefully learn something in the process. When I was a bronco guy we used to have wrenching parties where everyone would get together to help out members with projects and bbq and shoot the ****. It was really fun, it made the projects go so much faster, and everyone usually learned something in the process. If you guys ever want to put something together like this, count me in! Here is my cruiser in its current state. Only mod so far are the 285's, removing the jumper seats, and getting rid of all the plastic since I was missing one flare anyway. Hope to meet some of you soon.

Hey guys,

I bought my FJ from a guy in Lakeside who got it from a guy in Oceanside. I've been wrenching on it for about 7 months now and have taken it to Vegas and back as well as the mud caves. I've been posting on Mud for a few months now. anyway... here are some pics.

I'm in Rancho Bernardo if you guys ever need help in North County.

I am looking for a hardtop in the future (within a year), and I want to sell my rollcage and roofrack (which was made for the rollcage) and get a more stock looking bar. I'd rather deal locally than pay shipping.

Hey guys. Recently moved back to town with an FZJ80, this time. Just looking to meet up with other Cruiser heads, hit some trails and do some wrenching.

Here are some updated pics of my Cruiser. I am looking forward to getting this SD crew together for surf trips, trail rides, group maintenance, swap meets, etc...

So this is official huh? Well here goes...

My name is Mike and I live in Leucadia, CA. I recently sold my 03 2wd Tundra v8 w/ 66k to purchase and outfit my 97 FZJ80 lockers and 203k. I love to surf, camp and off road. I have a :princess:, 2.5 yr old little girl and a 3 yr old chocolate lab named Hurley, who love to camp and off road as well, they don't surf. I work from home and generally have days of free time, so I'm almost always up for a last minute day run.

As I write this my rig is at SD Trux getting 4.88's, OME J's with sport shocks, CC plates, MT sliders, a knuckle rebuild and fix the 402 code that keeps coming back (EGR) related. Generally I would do these sorts of things, minus the regearing, but I don't have the space or the tools or the confidence to work on this thing yet, so John's guys are.

A pic the day after I bought it and another before the lift and everything mentioned previously.

new in town

Hello all,

Wanted to check in with the local chapter, moved to Mira Mesa from NC in January. Working at the air station. Had to have my 40 shipped from NC to my folks in NM, and am going to pick it up in March (didn't have a place set up to keep it prior to arriving). Really looking forward to having my rig back soon and maybe going along on any group rides.

Cheers!
Jon

Hello, long time listener first time caller. My name is Vito, I live in Murrieta. I've been wheeling and camping with my Landcruiser's for a few years now. I started with my 87 fj60; had a 72 fj40 but traded it for a 95 fzj80. I only have the 60 and 80 now. Thinking of selling the 60 though. Anyway, would like to hook up with some other cruiserheads for some runs or whatever.

My name is jeremy and i have a real good looking "basterized" Tan FJ40. The TANK is a 1970 with a 75 top with amby doors a rebuilt 78 2f and a 4 speed to match. Shes sitting on some brand new procomp 33s with gears to make her move! The best part is there is not ONE single leak in the whole drive train!

I am new to the FJ world but man im in love and im looking for some guys or a club to cruise with! so please let me know when is the next club meeting or BEER time in a garage!
