WTB: working and functioning front heater core that will work in a '77 FJ40. Long story short had one, now I don't have one and I need one desperately. Thanks.

Don't think of it as a stash my man, think of it as inventory. If he doesn't want to sell it, he'll tell you he doesn't have one or that it's not available.

Sometimes it's hard to let go to my parts. But I think I have one. I hoard a lot of the early 70's cruiser parts. The dual plane manifolds I won't let go but the singles I will. Air cleaners are getting harder and harder to find. Especially since I've sold over 3k carbs. I'd say 500 of those were going from webers back to stock. Usually they ask for air cleaners and the carb spacers.

Jeremy give me a call Monday and get me to go look while I'm on the phone. Sometimes you have to kick me in the ass to get what you want.

On a related note, @Trollhole do you happen to know of a heater core that will work in my 1966 LV with little to no modification? I posted the following thread (with pics) in the 40 tech section and haven't gotten any helpful responses so far. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/1966-fj45-heater-core-replacement-needed.826122/#post-9482185

Anyone needing a muffler I have a newish Borla Pro XS (less than a year old, and less than 1,000 miles on it) It came off of my 80 but it will work on pretty much any cruiser.
Asking $75, PM if interested.

Anyone have a tunnel cover for a 72 FJ40?

I think I have one (need to check the configuration), but it might not be in the best shape, but you're a welder... :)
And it would be free...

On the hunt for a set of new Springs for Shasta. 2.5 to 3" lift so I have the same ride height. Probably going to reverse the U bolts at the same time.

800 a little steep. I think that was the same one I offered the guy 500 for a few years back. He is just about 10 miles from here.

yep. i figured you could swing a beard discount and walk out with it for 500

Not sure how much bondo it has, but it looks less rusty than the one in my driveway...

I can easily go look at it if anyone wants and snap a few different pics. He really does not know what I do for a living.

I have a pair of amby doors off a 78-ish 40. They are in pretty good condition - only one or two quarter-sized rust holes in either of them. What are they worth as-is and what are they worth if I strip them down, fix the holes (properly), and prime them? I don't think I'll use them.

Also - I upgraded my '71 from the 3 speed to a 4 speed (forget the model # of the tranny but it's from a 78 I think) - I had to move the t-case hump on the floor back about 10" and need different driveshafts - anyone have complete d-shafts for a '78 40? I have the lengths at home that I'm looking for.

Mike
