With the Prius gone, Heather is wanting something with more security features for her, so if we sold the '96, we would probably go buy a newer Rav4 or something worse . .![]()
I did NOT want to like our new Rav4 hybrid, putting my prejudice aside since it was Regina’s daily driver. Now that we’ve owned it for over a year, I have to almost admit that I (whisper) love it. It is surprisingly quick, has no trouble performing in traffic of the NASCAR Triangle Commuter 500, we have a hard time getting UNDER 34 MPG, the passenger back seats are adult comfortable being reclining and I’ve fit 8’ lumber inside.
I’m still looking for a decent lift kit for it so I can fit some honest 33” tires, hoping RCV will come out with some CrMo CV’s for it, finding a winch bumper design has been challenging though, someday...
