Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. The LX @Borrego Badlands :)

Man, how'd you manage to get her to stay upside like that without landing on the roof?
The trick is to go to Australia; everything's upside down there.

Just a couple more “baseline” pics of my LX. Just ordered wheels and tires. They should be here this week. After tireless reading on here I decided to go with a 295/70/18 on +25 offset wheels. I’ll have some trimming to do I’m sure. New (darker) tint goes on tomorrow.

You’ll love the fit of a 295 🙌

Another great weekend out in the desert. Sand, rock, and mountain goat trails.

nice! Are you worried about cooler blocking your license plate, or are the PoPo chill around there?

Great point and I'm sure a bored enough popo will call me out on it. At least 2 drove past me this weekend. For a longer trip, I would definitely need to relocate the plate.

@MTKID would you share details on how you set that up.

It looks great!
I can try to briefly summarize… 1. removed the ashtray portion (requires removing both side leather trims and pulling the ashtray section with seat heater switches all out together) and disassembled it, including the cigarette lighter. 2. Used a dremel (and hobby knife) to slowly and patiently make cuts for the scanguage to sit down in as flush as I could. 3. Cut hole in the back of the enclosure to run wire. 4. Reassembled with a small piece of sticky back foam on the right side to wedge it in there securely (should stay put unless the truck is upside down). 5. Run cable behind console and plug in.

Feel free to send me any messages for clarification. Not perfectly cut but functional 👍🏼

…and I prefer the feel of shift knob rotated 180’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

Almost went full overland... Makes me happy when mods are in use as that's what separates between the daily drag and adventure.

Any reason you didn't use the included metal bracket for the SwitchPro?

Remind me what bracket?

IIRC, there were screw holes on the back of the button panel but no included bracket? I actually used industrial velcro here and it's never budged. Have a thing for modern adhesives, VHB, and stuff.

Interesting, mine included two brackets as seen in the installation guide here: https://www.switchpros.com/wp-content/uploads/SP9100-Rev1.6-Directions-00285489.pdf

Pic of mine. I'm still in the process of installing and doing my wiring.

Is the ashtray pretty stable with the Tekonsha there? I'm planning to put the faceplate of my HAM radio in the same location.

I think those are meant to be used on the bottom side as a washer. Not needed the way you have it in the pic.

I should have read the instructions more closely "For a bezel style mount..." :bang:
