Went snow bashing over the weekend out at a friends soybean farm. It was the most fun i have ever had in my cruiser. Throwing it sideways into rally car style drifts, flying across the fields pedal mashed to the floor, you would've thought Petter Solberg was behind the wheel. It was a blast.

Wow sounds like you had a lot of fun! That's your DD?

14bolt steering front? Dana60 go boom!

Dana 60 front 11 bolt rear( shaved 14 bolt)
they will hold up fine, a set of rcv shafts will be installed in the front. 4.56 gears a 98 chevy vortec 5.7 with a 4l60 and atlas 4.3 to 1 t-case is already installed.

For now it is. i have a set of 33" Falken Rocky Mountains i bought a while back to free up the Rockers for my FJ40, but the cruiser looks so perfect on 37s, its hard to switch back to the 33s. I have about 3 months until my 40 is driveable(i wont say done:)) and im trying to sneak another set of 37s or 40s in the garage.

I get 8 mpg and drive 80-100 miles a day.

I finally got a better pic, here is my 92 sitting on 42" iroks
I think im going to lower the front an inch or 2, good thing I have adjustable coil buckets

Great looking bunch of trucks. My bank account tells me to stick to my 35's for now ! I'm amazed at the number of different suspension choices. Do you need to regear for 37's and up ?

I ran mine on stock gears for a while and it was ok. I regeared I went with 4.88s, and have no regrets. If I remember correctly 5.29s with 37"s brings you pretty close to stock. There is an in depth thread on it somewhere.

That looks awesome. Love the way those tires fit on 10" wheels.

Your wheels are aluminum, right? So did you just weld on some aluminum rings to stiffen them?

Yeah they're Mickey Thompson Classic 2's with a 3/8" ring welded to them. I bought them from another guy who had them made for his FJ40 rock buggy. maybe look at http://innerairlock.com/rock-rings/ for some ideas. They have both steel and aluminum and i know you have a welder at your disposal. . .

Sprayed the base coat on the bare steel and then got this quick pic in the shadows. Made the camo really effective!
