Are you going to Fall Crawl with a radio that doesn't have the club frequencies programmed? Have you tested that you have two-way radio communication? We will have the opportunity to have FC attendees get radios loaded with the appropriate channels/frequencies and will do comms check with Ed on October 1 monthly club meeting.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED: respond to this thread with the type of radio you have.
I realize I didn't word my response properly yesterday.
What I meant to say was that I'd be happy to bring the 6 GCLC club UV5Rs charged and pre-programmed for your event to hand out to folks who need radios.

Thank you for the offer John. CLCC has a bunch of Motorola radios to hand out. In hate to have your club radios not get returned.

No worries. They're sitting in my basement. Let me know if you change your mind.
I'll have at least 2 of my own with me, as I'm sure one of our crew won't have one ;)

Willow Lawn Service Center will be donating a set of tires for the raffle this year.

Couldn't help but notice The Cove has Fall Crawl listed on a differing weekend. Maybe there is another event of the same name the weekend before...

Thoughts?

It’s a different event from ours.

Its the big dogs event

Ah ok, so ours isn't worth putting on their 2025 Schedule.
@captainva
Every other listed event indicates Big Dogs, why not the Fall Crawl.
I'll stop analyzing the situation. See y'all out there. :beer::beer:

🤷🏻‍♂️ the “old timers” from BBRC could tell you more back story since some have wheeled with the big dogs guys I think and BBRC started Fall Crawl originally. Our Toyota fall crawl existed before big dogs so this is just the cove being the cove

Our event is closed to the public basically. Big Dogs events are open to everyone and vehicle. You can sign up on site for Big Dogs. Big Dogs was the exclusive "Event" group for the Cove and the only ones they let hold events there back in the day. John Hunt was the founder. The Cove has opened up in the past 10-15 years and now let other groups go up there. The Big Dog guys originally helped build the trail systems and name them. Not that too many signs are still up and the reason they do not have public maps they hand out. They want people that know the trails to lead. I have been up there with 300 plus other vehicles. Not my cup of tea.

I think Big Dogs has been up there for around 30 years or so, at least back to the 90's. And yes! They along with other groups have stolen our "Fall Crawl" name.

Well said Rob. The big dogs event is HUGE! And like Rob said is not a cup of tea I care for.
