I personally prefer a little rake. When loading up or pulling a trailer it sits level.

But you should know when I was in high school I had air shocks and had the back end higher in my 73 Gran Torino

Gran Torino...very cool

So my question, is it worth it? Any benefits?

Increased clearance in front...
...more stress on CVs though since they'll be pushed down a bit more.

Maybe a bit more up travel if the coilers have room for compression?

(My 2 cents worth...now we wait for the experts! :)

I was also having the diff drop installed I bought from Marks4wd a while back

Just a few hundred miles on the OME medium lift. Just had it aligned and it now tracks straight yet my 200 feels a bit jumpy, almost too responsive. Is this a normal process till the heavier springs settle in? I actually don't mind a firm ride just surprised by some of the quick "rebound" on some roads and corners. I did open the KDSS valves and fixed the dreaded front lean. Stance looks great now. Going on a big road trip today, hoping 2,500 miles will settle her down.

What springs did you use?

I have a ARB bumper so I was advised to go with the 2703's in front and 2722 rear using 91005 OME front struts and OME 61029 rear sport shocks. I also have the Light racing/SPC UCA's.

I have lighter 2721's in front. Are you planning to add weight in back such as drawers, or tire carrier? When I eventually add weight in back, I'll go to 22's or maybe 23's. Talk to @sleeoffroad or @cruiseroutfit as they have mountains of knowledge compared to my mole hill.

I forgot to mention I have the ARB non swing out rear bumper. I have no desire to add drawers or a winch. I do plan to make it over to Slee's and let Cristo take it for a spin. He was very kind on the phone the last time I ordered from him. The only thing I worry about is if the suspension shop opened the KDSS valves properly and detached the rear sway bar as described in the OME instructions...the shop bitched and moaned when I gave them the KDSS instructions.

The shop moaned about you HELPING them? Sheesh. That's why I'm driving all the way to Denver again to let Slee do my next mods in a couple weeks. I agree Christo is a great guy and will never try to talk you into something unnecessary. @sleeoffroad is more likely to talk you OUT of something than in...even though he makes his living adding stuff to Cruisers. Also patient with NOOBS when we ask stupid questions (I know this from experience, hehe)

Hey all, i want to coat my SPC UCA's before i have them mounted on. (they rusted up pretty bad when i had them on a 4runner.) Any recommendations on a good spray product to coat them with? Just something to hold off the inevitable rust.

Media blast them, and have them PC'd.

If your looking for something cheap though, sand off the surface rust and hit it with some black rustoleum spray paint with a rust inhibitor.

Any good locations to add additional cigarette sockets hidden away? I want to add dash cam, radar detector and a few additional usb charging ports.

This is only a partial answer...but this USB charger is excellent and unique in that it supplies 2.4 amps to ALL FOUR ports simultaneously.

This means you have have full speed charging of 4 tablets at once, and VERY fast phone charging.

Most chargers split up power, or supply only 2.1 to one and 1 amp to another (tablets need at least 2.1 to charge adequately, and 2.4 is faster).
This thing is amazing for QUICKLY charging phones and tablets, and it great on road trips where multiple people have phones to charge.

Add a few LONG cables and everyone in the car is happy.

2.4A to all four ports, for a total of 9.6A charging speed:

Does this mean Christo talked you out of installing them with BP-51's?

Lol, pretty much. I told him my wife had issues with my last 200 that had the Sahara bar and medium duty OME being to harsh over road bumps and potholes. So he recommended I go with BP-51 when I install the front bar and winch. Oh and he has a rear swing out that should be ready by fall:clap:. It's currently on his LX but it's not the finished product. So far it looks better and stronger than the ARB and Kaymar. You'll see it when you're in town

Ya, I saw that bumper at Slee several months ago before it had powder coat, and posted "spy photos" (which was OK with Christo). :)

Super solid bumper that will definitely end up on my truck in due time. :)
