Steen we got a foot of snow this week in Ft Collins! Just waiting for you! :)

Believe me I noticed, as it was 70+ here the week before xmas!

So I couldn't wait to see how the hi lift would mount... I do need to move the running gear up a little to get it out of the way of the tail light, but this will work out just fine.

Hi clearance...

Mounting to the frame behind rear tire

Here you can see some of the other mounting locations and the low hanging trailer plug

More mounting and the resonator... shows just how high clearance this thing is.

If I had one surprise, and shame on me for not asking about it, it's that there is no swing out lock. Nice high quality swing out, but would have liked it to lock.

I'm thinking I can figure out a way to mount the high lift on the swing out using the provided holes behind the tire... for another day though.

As far as moving to CO... its only a matter of when not if for us. Have a great job here in Atlanta and a kid in college so I'll have to wait for one or both of those situations to change. Kid has 2-1/2 years left. Job... who knows, but always exploring the market out in Denver and the "range" area with a focus on Ft. Collins, just in case someone out there knows of something :)

Great info and photos! Thank you.

Funny...I was about to ask about a swing-lock. :) Wonder how you might rig one up...

Great photos and a nice looking setup.

My daughter told me: "Dad, the 2Hundy is cool. Mom looks good driving it."

Better than my neighbor's comment last week on my newly acquired 200...."Nice jeep."

Ha!

To some people...the word "jeep" is like a synonym for 4x4... When I was in Papua New Guinea, the locals there had only one word for 4x4s...and it was literally "jip" pronounced jeep. ;)

Your neighbor obviously must be a New Guinea native... heehee

LOL, my neighbor is a sweet, elderly lady that also happened to be my wife's second grade teacher. I wasn't about to correct her.

Aww... Good on you, mate.
I'ma thinkin that just like me own granny... "Jeep" is just what you call em...
...sorta like how you call a soft drink dispenser a "Coke Machine..." ...even if it sells Pepsi. ;)

:rainbow::princess::rainbow:...may she rest in peace.

Steenh, that bumper looks great, man.

My neighbor asked the other day how I liked my Highlander, because they were thinking of getting one.

Go ahead and simply mention what you paid for it.

Roll eyes.

Rapidly change the subject and admire their quizzical dog like head tilt.

I always like a reminder that 50% of people are dumber than average. Makes me feel like a genius.

I heard something similar before the OME lift, 33" tires, and Gobi Stealth Rack. Since those upgrades, however, no highlander doppelganger comments. To paraphrase my brother-in-law, 'you knocked the soccer mom out of it'.

I'd better add some ARB bumpers and Slee sliders just to be safe...

Since the lift and wheels it's been called "A beast" while filling it up.

I'm ok with my colleagues thinking I drive a $30,000 truck (highlander). The LC is under the radar of 99.9% of Americans. It is not a status symbol and it's one of the least depreciating SUVs and one of the most reliable. That's how I justify the long term ownership.
When someone asks what I drive I just say a Toyota truck and when someone does find out what they cost that look they give is priceless. A neighbor, without any LC knowledge, went to a dealer to look at a Land Cruiser for his wife. He didn't come home with one but did ask in a round about way if I had REALLY paid like $80k for it.
Yep and I'll do it again in a few years.

Are they referencing the original or the new one?

Hmmm.... That could either mean that to them it looks... BADASS... or...a monstrosity.

To me? It's BEAUTIFUL. ;)

HIGHLANDER.....there can be only one!
