OEM?

I didn’t want to booger up Nolan’s want ad with questions but his post made me curious about a couple things:

1- Is this bracket OEM for rigs with heaters? I could really use one for the SWB.

2- And I’d love a pic of the hazard switch he’s looking for as I’ve been contemplating adding that when I wire in the 3FE.

EDIT: Looks like there’s a bracket too?

Any info is appreciated.

I have a 1964 fj45lv and it has this bracket you are talking about. From what I read not all cruisers in that vintage came with the heater option.

^^^Thanks. I have an Eaton heater that I believe was a port add on but do not have these controls. Looks like I’m on the hunt!

Dom, yes OEM for heater option rigs. Your eaton would most likely have had a bakealite control switch. Also, no OEM hazard switch.

Thanks Mark. I did a little more research and found this picture from you so I know better what I’m looking for.

I’m not certain about reproducing these as I think they are stamped but we’ll see. Also curious if the center oval is a secondary piece or if it’s all one piece?

I’m on the lookout for one if you come across anything.

I recall a thread about some early trucks being prewired for hazards even though they didn’t come installed. I could be mis-remembering.

i have never seen hazards on an early vehicle. I would like them but will probably scavenge them out of a newer truck someday.

I'm not sure the OEM heater control panel will really be useful with an Eaton heater. Isn't the Eaton a 1-switch heater?

My 66 40 had a bracket and the flasher switch just like posted above. First one I have seen like that, but it's obviously stock.

It’s cool stuff for sure. Flashers are not working yet but the heater blower does.

What production month was your 66? Thought the flasher started on 67 models. Now I need to check the wiring in the 66 FSM.

@FJ45Dude has a ‘66 lwb with factory hazard. The 66lwb I sold that is now with @66lwb in Jersey also had it.

I'm not sure he is wanting actual hazard switch. I think he thought heater switch was haz.
