Obsession over rear shock travel and options - really???

3" more than stock I can see, but 3" more than the std. OME lift, doubtful.

THIS is why I started this thread. "Std. OME" lift rear wheel travel really isnt that much different than stock - ~1" is all. Not sure where the 2" number came from that gets bantered about here...

Been debated since I tried this years ago. Believe what you want. That's OK with me.

Your reply pretty much sums it up/explains everything.

Maybe he's talking about wheel travel, not shock?

I thought of that but given how far outboard the LC shocks sit there is no way the wheel travel triples from the shock travel. Unless he has 12" wheel spacers...:D

I don't engage in the wars any more. Believe what you want. Just show me a picture to compare to an N74L setup on the US UZJ. You can't...there is no equal bolt-in solution (yet).

Isn't there a saying that starts something like this: Figures don't lie...

I haven't seen any non-L pics yet guys? Where are they? With 99% of the 100's running non-L's there must be some pictures showing amazing rear travel? Please post up. All the wheeling trips out there. Please post. Thanks!

Is it all about posing for pictures what happen to wheeling?

Looks like +.6" shock travel to me.

Ok, here's utahfj62's rig with 295's and standard OME shocks. So, 33.2" vs 34.6" tires. Following the same body line the tires are in about the same place. Give a little variance for the inch in tire difference and inch in shocks. It may look and feel like more to you Shotts, which is fine, but like spress said, the simple numbers of the extension don't lie and can't change how far the axle can move.
