Hit half of the swatch with clearcoat. The right side is just a hair darker now.

Is that a stock color?

Spent the whole morning spraying paint samples. Big PITA, because that means I have to clean the gun after each color.

The sample on the far left was Toyota 637. Obviously this is not the correct shade, even though the paint shop insisted it was; it has waaay too much green in it. The middle color was my first attempt at matching the lighter shade of olive green. Although it looks good, it's still contains too much yellow. So I went back to the body shop again and found the far right color, which I think is a very close match to what I am looking for.

Tomorrow, I'm planning on hitting the body with the last coat of epoxy primer, then it'll be on to 2k Primer, sealer, basecoat, and clear.

Woohoo.

Im confused. You going with the browner color? Thats what i thought you were saying here, but then you ran the clearcoat on the green and said you were going with m637 which is the label on the one that appeared to have "too much green"

No.

I going with the browner color.

Unfortunately, my iPhone can't take a decent pic, and made it look green after the clearcoat.

It looks great, and is identical to the OE 637.

The one labeled 637 is from the paint shop; it is the incorrect shade.

Here is a better pic:

Tolleson's is 653.

The 637 was a earlier shade, with a bit more yellow.

This is 637 in the sunlight:

Read what I wrote again. The far right color IS 637. The one on the far left is what the paint shop said was 637. They are wrong.

Word.
