New hoses from @beno .

Here's where I deviated from OE Toyota parts. I bought a set of hose clamps from Racer65's storefront. These clamps are nearly identical to OE clamps, but are completely made of stainless steel instead of zinc coated steel. I'm really impressed with them.

If I could wave my hand and have the body and paint work done, I could have this thing out back together in less than 2 weeks, I bet. Unfortunately, body and paint are going to take a considerable amount of both time and money, so there's a good chance it'll be several months before it really starts to take shape. I'd love to have it ready for its maiden voyage around the time Spring starts.

Updated my Craigslist oven with a digital temp probe.

Hey, that's a GE oven. Nice

What's your opinion on ovens, JT?

It's looking great Andrew!

Parts are blasted, powder coated, and are baking in the oven. These are shot with Galaxy Grey II from Prismatic Powders. This color appears to be a very close match to Toyota's pewter.

Parts are cured. Boom.

Appears to be a very close match to the original pewter too.

Also started rebuilding the Warren hubs. It's too expensive to have the centers plated, so I decided to shoot them with safety yellow. I did the same in my 1968, and thought the yellow looked good. Yeah, I realize it's not a factory look, but I still think it looks great.

I'll go out later today and buy some stainless steel socket head hardware to put them back together.

Homebrew electroplating isn't very hard to do, you could always give that a shot.

Or you could just paint (or powder coat) them a different color....

But it's your truck, so if you like the safety yellow, then by all means keep them safety yellow.

Damn, you guys are some tough critics.

Yeah, electroplating was my first choice, but you can't electroplate to a bronze color.

Hey, that gives me an idea...

(Runs off to shop)

See you assholes in a few hours.

There; metallic bronze.
