Hated neither of JohnV's cruisers were trail ready today. Big thanks to him for organizing the trip.

Unfortunately, as the pic above shows, I got my first ever flat on the trail (apparently something to expect if you ride at URE with JohnV) but fortunately I was able to get to a nice flat area before all the air leaked out. Thanks Rafael and Ava for the help.

Due to several unexpected events (including my tire) we didn't cover as much ground as initially hoped. Regardless, the weather was great, the leaves were beautiful and it was fun to ride with a fun group of guys (although quite humbling to follow Burt).

Thanks to Mike for spotting me up the hill on Dickey Bell, which I managed to conquer without body damage or getting strapped out.

I hope we can make this an unofficial annual run going forward.

Got some pics from yesterday to provide more proof that this all actually happened. It was a great day and I had a lot of fun. Besides a power steering pump pulley issue Burt performed beautifully with her recent upgrades.

The way the pump was mounted allowed the pulley to wander a little so I tried to adjust it. After a lot of going backwards I got it adjusted enough to hit a few more trails. When I got home I drank a beer and fixed it for good. It was a combination of break in period as well as untested mounting configuration but I managed to get it right.
