This looks like an OK deal ($6,700). Would make a great weekend toy!! I wish I had room and the money for 10 of these :rofl:!!

1978 toyota fj40 land cruiser

For sale or trade,78 Toyota fj40 landcruiser,With clean title. inline toyota 6 cylinder,manual 4spd hard top and hard doors runs drives stops,it has a full roll cage front and back ,rock sliders.body is good except the rear of tub as they were infamous for rust.Front has locker but I have new stock gears to go back in as well as a stock front drive shaft it has a heavy steel one in it right now .the lights and signals do not work haven't gotten that far yet so I don't know why.needs some restoration but everything is there except the back hatch.I basically used it for a tractor on my property fixed a few little things hear and there and lost interest.CASH or trade for camper

Oh man, this guy again! He's been trying to sell this cruiser for a year now.

There is a TON of rust hiding underneath those panels. I wouldn't touch it for anywhere near his asking price! Just my .02

Yotadude, thanks! One more reason why I love this forum. I have only been on the forum for about 6 months. I have not seen this one before.

Is this guy a MUD member? Have any of you guys seen this one in person?

It was for sale in Atlanta for the longest time. Maybe someone bought it and realized it’s a POS?

Yeah, 90% of the time you see those diamond plate quarter panels it means lots of RUST. $6,700 might be a little high but it is a complete running and driving 78 with a hard top and doors (2F, 4 speed, disc breaks, etc.). I would love to see some more pics (doors, inside, under side, engine bay, etc.)

If the price was right, I would buy it and drive the POS out of it :)!!!! It would be a fun mud truck that I wouldn't have to worry about scratch and rocks, etc. Take it off road and have fun!!

Yea I completely agree, I think it would be a fun truck if you could talk him down a little bit more.
 
Yeah I think someone did buy it. The last posts I saw of it were on a trailer for $5k..he even still had the hard doors with it too.

It would be fun to romp around in but I'd pay $2500-$3500 max for something that roasted.
