Here's a posting I didn't think I'd be putting up. I picked this up from my buddy @jomelo in 2020 back when I lived down the road from him in Florida. I'm finding the truck is sitting in the garage on a battery tender with the occasional run around town and the much less occasional mild camp trip down forest roads here in the area. In the 4+ years of ownership, I've put probably 7k miles on the truck. I've tried to take the girls out, but they are glued to the 200. Proceeds from sale will go towards a 40 or 60 more than likely. A link that has kept up with some of its history below.

1997 Collectors Edition
"Triple Locked"
Dark Emerald Pearl (6M1) over Oak (LB42)
182k-ish miles
Non-roof rack from factory
No rust

Plenty of maintenance/restore - OEM only. Below was done maybe 7k miles ago?
New steering wheel
New center console
New radiator+cap (and fluid of course)
New fan clutch
New A/C (compressor, dryer, valves, etc.)
New starter
New fuel filter
New ignition switch
Knuckles rebuilt + seals
New ABS sensors front/rear
New rotors/pads (with added weight to truck, I'd eventually upgrade these)
New front grille (NOS, but not the black pearl sombrero typical of CE trucks)
New front side markers
New front turn signal housings/lenses
Locker actuators rebuilt

More maintenance done maybe 5-6k miles ago (OEM)
New Valve cover gasket
New Throttle body gasket
New Throttle body hose
New Spark plug tube seals
New Vacuum hose replacement (still have some that need to be replaced with age, but still functional)
New Rear hatch assembly replaced
New PCV valve (+grommet, hoses)
New Valve cover hose
New Distributor cap/rotor/gasket
New Spark plugs + wires
New Intake hose
New Intake air filter
New Hood struts
New Rear hatch struts
New Rear hatch handle mechanism
New Transmission fluid
New Front differential fluid
New Rear differential fluid
New Transfer case fluid (let me find my spreadsheet on the truck to confirm this, I may not have changed it out thinking off the top of my head now. Laptop I kept this on crashed, so bear with me...)

Pile of OEM parts to-be-installed
Rear sliding window seals and runs
Full OEM carpet set (second row to dash, cargo area NLA and in great condition. Can show pictures of under carpet and clean)
Sunroof trim plastics (Oak NLA, but SEM paint to match works well - common for plastics to crack)
Second battery tray (from alternate market to be used for dual battery)
Window runs (front and rear - windows are running slow)
Front and rear door vapor barriers
Bellhousing inspection plug
Probably more; just need to rummage through the garage

Modifications (≤7k miles)
BP51 adjustable suspension (w/OME caster kit and Slee gear) + steering damper
OME 2" springs F/R
BFG KM3 315/75/16 x5
Scheel-Mann Vario XXL R seats (driver+passenger) w/ Planted brackets (these are heated seats, but not wired in yet - have the stuff needed to make it happen, just never found the OEM heated seat switch I was looking for)
ARB front bumper
ComeUp DV-9 winch (synthetic rope - does have a few knicks)
Factor 55 ProLink shackle mount
Factor 55 Hawse fairlead
Trail Tailor recovery points
ARB rear bumper + tire swingout
DEPO headlights
Metaltech sliders
Big Country 4x4 (South Africa) Drawer System
Alu-Cab tilting fridge slide (XL)
65L dual zone fridge/freezer
Double-din radio
One of those Wits-End cupholder slot things that I have a RAM phone mount on
I believe the speakers have been replaced, but I wouldn't say they are much to write home about

Outstanding
Upper oil pan has slow leak/seep
Paint is fading on hood and roof typical of 6M1 with some pinstriping done by yours truly on aforementioned forest road camp trips
Brakes have been soft as of late, but I've noticed the fluid is dirty. It's been on my to-do list and planned to do full overhaul with master, calipers, pads, rotors, etc. but has admittedly been put on the backburner with a plethora of other projects taking queue
"Pile of OEM parts to be installed" address remaining

I'm not going to promise a perfect truck that is nearing 30 years old, but damn if it isn't pretty set. Short of deciding to say F-it and start looking at a 2UZ swap just for something to do, I'm not really sure that I've got anything I want to do to the truck short of possibly a repaint. I've held on doing a repaint just because I know I'll end up pinstriping it. I've had a blast with the truck with all kinds of memories and friends made, but I'm thinking I'll get a stronger use case out of something older. I still think of how much fun I had driving John's Mustard 40, but he may have spoiled me and set me up for disappointment trying to find my own... I generally have it parked here in my insulated garage in North Georgia, but some projects around the house have kicked it out of its slot temporarily, so it's currently at my folk's place in Murphy, NC.

Wow.
That should sell in about 10 seconds

Nice Rig

Nice, well-built 80. GLWS

Putting a hold on the truck's sale at this time. A tremendous amount of interest in the truck, and thanks to all for the great conversation and the multitude of offers to purchase.

Seemingly, my own interest has been reignited as I brought the truck back home yesterday after a hiatus during some projects here at the house. Something about a calm 65° day with an all-windows-open drive over the mountain and a couple dirt road offshoots seems to stir you up. Not sure where this takes me from here, but I'm going to take it off the market while I figure that out. End result may just be I'm going to go drive the damn thing and secure its slot in the garage stall.

See ya out there...

Great decision! Enjoy it!

Plus since you already have a 200 series you can use the 80 more often to off set a few of those miles and both will be around for very long time!

Thanks, John! It’s funny, I have all different flavors of vehicles here at the house, but for some reason skew my miles to one vehicle with these others looking pretty in the garage. About time to dirty the rest up…

Can't blame you for that decision. That said, let me know if you change your mind.
