Can I run a stock coil with a non-USA distributor?

Yes you can.

Howdy! I used the stock coil for years on my 72 FJ 40 with that dizzy. I really liked being able to dial in the timing for going up to high altitude when I lived on the Front Range. John

Is your vacuum advance even hooked up? Doesn't look like it from the pic. And that's a bigger potential issue than the coil.

Yes, the vacuum advance nozzles goes straight out, which limits my adjustment against the oil filter. I've seen them with a 90 degree turn, what is the correct part number for those and is there a difference?

If you run out of adjustment and you can't set the timing properly, just rotate the distributor body clockwise 60 degrees and then move the spark plug wires counter clockwise by one hole on the cap. This is easier and less risky than removing the distributor.
