No more ACE oil base....

Went to the local ACE hardware today (Temecula, Ca.) to get some paint mixed up per what 'thecrazygreek' had posted for his resto (olive) and was told ACE no longer sells the oil base paint in their version of Rustoleum. It is now a water base. They have a new hybrid, but the salesperson says it doesn't lay down as nice and not as tough. Don't know if this is just in Kalifornia.

I know I posted that same problem three months a go. I had to ship my kick vent to a friend in Arizona. He picked up a gallon of x-o rust tintable enamel paint. Match the colr to a "T". Works like a charm but I had to drive to AZ to pick it up. Worth the trip but what a pain in the bazookas for a gallon of paint.
Darn tree huggers...just another reason to leave this B/S state!
