My ac/heater system died earlier this summer after a windshield replacement that is leaking.

Heres my symptoms on a 97' Lx450
-No blower motor function
-lights on the AC - AUTO and inside/recirculate air buttons would not light up (essentially the middle row on the climate control)
-Lights on everything else worked

My fix
-pull ac amplifier from above gas pedal
- open it up, look for issues
-found a few areas of corrosion near the bottom of the unit where water sits
-Liberally used electronic cleaner and cotton swabs to wipe off any corrosion
-sprayed contact cleaner on all the pins where the 3 plugs attached

Plugged back in and everything works! I will be sealing the top of the box with liquid rubber electric tape. I'll put some dielectric grease on the 3 plugs and drill a drain hole in the bottom of the unit so that if anything does get in it can drain out. Will post photos later

Also '97 lx450 - Guess I'll be checking mine next. Blower halted randomly and left me AC-less on my travel back from a weekend trip (wife and 2 kids were not happy about that)- blower began working again about 2 miles from the house...lol.

Same exact issue with no light up on the middle row- talk about a hot seat!

Very hot. Here's some photos of what mine looked like, not nearly as bad as some

Sorry to bring back an old thread but how did you guys get that amp out from under the dash? I pulled both the plastic and metal covers off to find the AC ducting still in the way. When I try to put in a socket or any other tool I can get it to move enough to do anything. Any tips on getting this thing out would be greatly appreciated. I’m working on my truck outside in Dallas summer heat right now so maybe I’m just too cranky to see the solution on getting it out easily. Thank you in advance.

This one has legs!

Having these exact conditions.

Pulled AC Amplifier (pics below) and it looks primo.

Based on the the minimal replies to this thread, I’m not optimistic but thought I should get it out there to the hive-mind
