Hi all,

Got around to buying a Nitro 4.88 regear kit from ECGS for my '04 100. I had to have them modify it a bit since the kit on their website is for the OEM rear locker equipped '98 and '99 100s. Didn't get the yokes since I believe they're not needed for an '04.

Two main questions I'm looking for some help on.

1. I've seen people recommend to get OEM pinion seals since the Nitro ones may leak early on. I'm pretty ignorant of axle things, so I'm not 100% which seals I should be looking for. I included some screenshots from Partsouq below, can someone point me in the right direction for the PNs of the front and rear seals people are talking about?

2. Also looking for suggestions on "while you're there" type things. Since the front diff will be apart, instead of hammering out the that bushing on the cover, I'm just going to replace the cover (PN 4110860011). I also forgot to replace one of the front diff supports (PN 5238060030)so I'll be doing that one as well. With those done, I believe all my bushings will be good. Anyone have any rec's for any other things to do while doing a regear?

Appreciate the help as always.

Ask ECGS what pinion seals will be included—IIRC, they included OEM with mine for both front and rear.

Oh I didn't even realize that. I thought it'd all be Nitro parts. The parts just got off the barge, I'll have to check when I pick them up Friday. How could you tell? OEM packaging?

Yep, standard plastic baggie with the Toyota sticker on it.
As an update to this, I forgot that ECGS actually was using the Yukon Gear master install kit. Picked up the box the other day and opened it up. I think it has everything I need... but there's no part numbers lol
