yup. you'll do well dealing with Kurt!!

I bought my harness from him and am running Hellas. I had an hid kit but the Hellas give so much better light so I put them back in.

What's the exact Hellas that you are running? Where is the best place to get them? I sent cruisers outfitters an email to get my harness. Now I will just need the housings and bulbs

I have the hella high and low beams kit number 003177801. they are ECE meaning not DOT approved but that doesn't matter where I live. I have the 110watt h4 bulbs but was very careful how I've aimed them. no flashes yet mistaking them for high beams. I might look into some of the conversion LED h4 bulbs. I love good light at night. I do quite a bit of night driving where there are a lot of deer. with my current set up (and some rigid led floods) I can see a deer in the ditch at midnight 900 yards off.

you don't NEED to but the highs are nice and don't really cost too much more. with the harness upgrade you'll be able to run a higher wattage bulb and that may be enough but I liked getting rid of the sealed beams.

Definitely doing the low and high beam upgrade once my tires and wheels are all buttoned up. Im looking for more of a cheap lift as a temp setup so i dont have any rub, I am on man-a-fre and looking at the anti inversion shackles, and they are all in different sizes, measure from pin to pin. I am looking for a cheap 2 inch lift and maybe something longer infront to resolve the notorious stink bug. I would have to do the shim correction but thats fine with me as long as it wont drive sketchy doing 70 on the freeway. What length would I need to do that? What are the stock lengths? thanks!

I dont think you will get a healthy 2" lift with just shackles. For a 2 " lift, you need to increase shackle length by 4". Stock are about 3.5" (longer in the rear, cant remember the lengths) but to go to 7" pin to pin shackles is crazy!
(EDIT But I see they make them.... http://midnight4x4.com/index.php?ma...esult&search_in_description=1&keyword=shackle ) You could add a leaf to your spring pack... Maybe a 1" body lift and 2" longer anti-inversion shackle? This will need castor correction shims as well.

I just finished cutting off a s***ty PO lift kit from my rig (see my sig). 2.5" shackle riser blocks from underneath the shackle mounts and installing a OME 3.5" lift kit..... So much better now.

Also Im thinking pro active and since my 62 is a California car with no rust, I dont want that to change. Now dont get me wrong I wish I could do a whole frame coating of some sorts, but that is not an option as I dont have a backup car. What is a good, fairly inexpensive rust prevention? I will get a membership at the local carwash so i can keep the salt off as best i can, but what do i do about my undercarriage? All recommendations very much appreciated!

Alright maybe 2 inchs is a little crazy, what about just an inch, I just want to have a bit more clearance
Look into Ironman 4x4 for a suspension lift, cheaper than OME, high quality, install went well. Rides great with good lift and flex.

What about like undercarriage coating or something along those lines? This winter in Utah is supposed going to be a good one and I really dont want my cruiser to rust if I can help it!!!

Alright guys, update time, tires will be mounted up on Friday with hopefully some sort of rust prevention in the wheel wells. And my headlight harness came in today, which surprised me because I only ordered it yesterday! I am going to have an exciting weekend and I will be sure to take pictures of the install and some before and afters with the lights.

Also thinking about making a cargo organizer like the one Ty had in Wampa with this crap and some 2x3. Post up some pictures of your organizers if you've got one! I would love to check them out and get a design
