@Pacer - glad to see you'll be joining us! I hope you have 3 other tires to match!

Bad news kids, Weiser State Forest currently has a fire ban! There's a chance they'll lift it if we get a good amount of rain tomorrow (forecast is for 100% chance of rain...) but we wouldn't know that until Friday morning.

So our choice would be to wait and see, camp at RC, camp at Pine Grove, or give up on camping and get up bright and early to make it in time to eat Gary's donuts!

I am good for camping at pine grove...what's the camping at RC like? I don't recall seeing it when we were their for coal mine CC.

I'm in for either...RC is most convenient, and free. I doubt there will be any other fools camping out.

So right between behind the porta potties I guess. I am cool with anywhere as long as we can have a fire and a few brews.

Years ago, in December I camped on the trailer that I towed my rig in on in the parking lot at RC....didn't know there was an actual designated camping area. I woke up covered in a 1/4inch layer of ice...that wasn't fun.

I'll sleep IN the porta potties if it gets too cold...decomposing fecal matter does produce heat...scientific fact!

I've spent a few nights in the dust bowl of a parking lot/camp ground of RC... Its not bad at all, so long as there are not any big events going on... Rain should help the dust. Some kids in the camp next to us had a fire even with a fire ban, and no one made a fuss....
Its easy to walk to the office and register, you're allowed to do what you like... Ben, are folks allowed to drink in PA state forest?

As of now we're camping at the Weiser State Forest, site number 1.
All clear for a fire, and ready to go.
Aaron, are you thinking of joining us? I'll be bringing booze...

Check out the map that I linked to a few posts above from the forest service. There is a marked forest dirt road that comes in from the south right to campsite number one.

I think both crusha and I are aiming to be there around 4 PM.

What's for dinner?!

Just catching up on this post. I was thinking about hitting up Rausch Creek this weekend but everyone I know seems to have broken their rigs... Mind if I join you all for the wheeling on sat? May get there a little late but I could probably catch up.

Jimep...sure come on out!
If your'e late, try calling me at 484-252-1708

Well, it looks like the paycheck has cost me another trip to Rausch. I have to head to Kansas for business on Sunday, so I won't be able to make the run. Thanks for the offer of a seat Crusha. Hope you all have a great time! Post pics!!!!
-Bill
