Dem Strong Island girls. LOL!
My older sister was in college at New Rochelle at the time, she had a few friends that needed help with their math homework.... but, eventually married a girl from Katonah.

Welcome to the club! Although I'm not a native NYer, I did live in Brooklyn/Queens for 7 yrs before moving down to Charlotte. My wife grew up in Ridgewood Queens.

Feeling at home already!

Welcome to the addiction @NY2NC ! I'm not from NY.
BTW everyone knows that 1995 is the best year. We get MAF, OBD2, and don't have to deal with emissions however any Land Cruiser is better than the alternative.

In NC, OBD2 vehicles are subject to emissions inspection (i.e. check engine). Or do you live in one of the NC counties that doesn't require emissions regardless of OBD1 or OBD2? NC inspection laws are crazy.

OBD was not federally mandated till 1996. Mr T was ahead of the game in 95 and it’s also the transition year. The majority but not all of 95s have obd but are not required to pass emissions because federal law based on 96 date. Best of both worlds. All the 94 lovers must hate forced induction :flipoff2:

Welcome to the mudness! NC is a great state regardless of the screwy politics and I am sure you will enjoy what it has to offer. Which is why those from the frozen north seem to like moving here.

Dave is an ok guy, likes his LC's and is willing to help out, much like the rest of the club. The knowledge base here is extreme, the help is always given freely and as I like to say we are uncommon people with a common obsession. Watch the forum for CLT area meet-ups, the club calendar for events is posted for the year, consider attending the Meet and Greet in March and any other events you are interested in. That is a terrific way to get to know the other members and in an instant you will be one of the family.

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing you and the family in the future.

Absolutely! I've actually been here since 2005 and haven't looked back. My wife is a Boone native. So, I've become more Carolinian than New Yorker in these past 15 years. Dave has been more than helpful. And he did mention the same about the rest of this club. I look forward to the upcoming meets. Is there an official date for the March Meet and Greet? Will all future events be posted here?

FYI - Planning on doing my brakes in a few days (waiting for the parts to arrive). First time doing anything is always a little intimidating. ;)

Relatively easy job unless the truck came from up north like my old 80 did. Just make sure you check the torque on the caliper bolts and consider using some blue loctite on them...ask me how I know

It's a TX/KY LC. I've done brakes before, but this seems more involved. Never had to touch wheel bearings when I did brakes on other cars. I think I can do it though.
