151,524.

I drive it every day to work and my drive-time is the best part of my day. It was in the body shop for 3 weeks this summer getting a re-finish and I was miserable the whole time.

That's because you knew how much it would cost.

I believe it is not a cost, but separating yourself from the 80s just very hard or can't :frown:

197K, DD, Family Trips, Etc.

Replaced a 90K 2000 Chevy Venture van with the 158K FZJ.

Hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Dan,

Is that paint warranty for the original owner? My Green is losing clear coat horribly.

dd 143K.
I drive about 10 miles per day to and from work. On weekends use the wife's CRV as much as possible and leave the Lexus at home.

It was a paint warranty from a previous re-finish done ~8 years ago. It had nothing to do with a factory warranty. The fellow that did the original job for me was foolish enough to provide me with a lifetime warranty on the finish, not realizing that I would own the vehicle long enough to collect....:D In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he gets to do it again some day.:)

180K DD

The drive to a from work is my little bonus to myself for working so hard.

My wife and I share driving privledges. Whoever drives the farthest gets the camry, whoever drives the shortest gets the LX. It works out pretty good cause usually I drive the shortest.:)

175K DD. Drove it 2,000 miles last week....

Daily driver, I didn't get it for it's fuel economy....it's the feeling I have while driving it that makes the frequent fill-ups worth it.

Welcome :flipoff2:

I just retired mine earlier in the month as a DD w/ 145,000 on the clock - getting about 12 mpg was killing me as I drive about 200+ miles per week commuting plus work driving. I already miss her on a daily basis.

Get one, do it. You won't regret it. Get a used Civic for an economical car to park next to the Crusier.

1994 172,798 miles, goin' to FLA in two weeks (that'll add another 2000)

I switch off every other week between my Honda and my 80

Yup,

When my wife wrecked ours....it was at the body shop for nearly a month.

She had terrible "withdrawal symptoms". Her rental car was a Chevy Malibu, she complained from day one that she did not feel safe in it.

I was not "entirely" sympathetic (since she blemished the Cruiser to begin with).

After two weeks, she had me checking on the Cruiser every couple of days to see when it would be ready.

God....how they hated me down at the body shop.

My LX has 126.5k right now, and I've been driving it daily for about the past week or so. I normally daily drive my 247k mile Volvo, but it's down for a turbo upgrade. Regardless, the LX gets driven at least a couple times a week, even though it's a 10 mile ride to the nearest grocery store.. ;)

91 80................216,000 miles on her and still running good! Up till August this year she was my daily driver driving 24 mile commute everyday no problem. Keep up on you mantaince and you'll have no problem with em. A) They are Landcruisers B) They are Toyota C) They are Japanese! There is no such thing as "Jap Crap" anymore!

Well stated. X2 on this.

94 FZJ80 with 185k is the better half's DD. 1,500 mile family trip at Thanksgiving averaged 14 mpg. I'll take that for the significant peace of mind.

I drive mine '97 LX450 w/ 149500 on the odo, at least 50 miles a day, as much as 100... It is getting to the point where I need to get a little pickup or a beater car for fuel economy.. i spend about 300 bones a month just for gas, 300 a month for a payment, 125 a month for insurance, and I try to do at least a hundred a month in PM... sheesh $825 a month just to drive??? maybe I should get that beater car this weekend!
