My cost at work would be $2300 out the door.

the 1hz input version of the H55 is $6500. The input shaft is $300 and one hour of labor to convert a gas/2h transmission to the new input. Same nose cone

One last question! I really want to go the right route with this, and keep it all legit Toyota. I could put a Cummings in it with 5speed and call it good, But this truck deserves to be Legit. And its my Daily driver.

With that said. Can you set me up with right package? Motor, transmission, transfer case. I want new because i have to make a living and down time with an older/rarer diesel can suck - waiting on parts. I would like the 1HZ, due to availability and future availability of parts. Unless you have better suggestions, i'm very open to knowledge being a newbie.

Thanks!

Zac

Hey Zac. Having been down this road recently I can tell you that you cannot get a complete 1HZ engine assembly from Toyota here in the states. You can however get the 1HZ short block for about $3300 then you'd need to source a core 1HZ to pull the head, IP, timing case and gears, etc. You can source most every ancillary part you would need through the dealers here in the US, but a few items would need to come from Toyota parts suppliers outside the US. Akella here on the board is a great source for those needs. Beno is a great source for your state side parts needs and very knowledgeable.

All that said with some time and a nice pile of cash you can have essentially a new 1HZ here in the states :grinpimp:
1hz-1.webp 1hz-5.webp 1hz-4.webp

If you have any questions shoot me a PM.

Good luck!

THANK YOU! Looks like im going to need the luck as much as the money! Ha!

I got question. If i was to do this piece at a time H55f first. HAS ANYONE driven a H-diesel with 5-speed??? I got a fresh little motor but under higher rpm its hard to keep off of Hot temp (and keep any freeze protection).
