I am from New Orleans. I got 12ft of water in my house from Hurricane Katrina. I worked down there until a couple months ago. I just moved to Satrr, SC. I want to learn more about the club and meet some people. I do own a 73 Land Cruiser, but it is in non running condition, still in Louisiana. I do plan on bringing it up sometime within the next few months. It should not take much to get running. It does need a lot of work though. My daily driver is a 91 Montero. I also have a 93 Montero, an 84 Toyota Pickup dual cases, dual locked, 5.29s, 36in TSLs, needs high steer.

I want to meet up with some people. Where do most people live around here? I would like to konw where some trails are, all that kind of stuff.

Do yall let others ride with you or what?

Sorry for the newb stuff, someone help me out here.

Welcome to SC :D..............

we'd be more than happy to have you come out to one of our events. Most of us live in the Upstate area Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and Clemson, we have monthly meets ususally a local Sonics thru out the Upstate. Sounds like you have a sweet Mini truck and also we can help you get that 40 running, we have quite a few very knowledgeable cruiser heads in our club that have done it all, so you are in the right place.

As far as trails legally there aren't many here in the Upstate with the exception of Gulches off-road park in Laurens SC........ we do most of our trail riding in NC where there is still some offroading to be had.

Please come out to one of our meetings; we have one this weekend north of Greenville at Jones Gap state Park, might be a little bit of a drive for you, but you are more than welcome to come. If you want any details just let me know.

I love forward to meeting you.

I'm assuming you meant Starr the little town north of the little town of Iva right? We've got people all over but the bulk of the guys like JP said are pretty close to ya. I'd also like to say that we need to get that Toy truck up to Tellico. It sounds like it would be at home up there!!

Anyhow welcome to SC and the Upsate Cruisers board.

Thanks for the cool welcome. I dont know why, but I was half way expecting, "Its called Upstate cruisers for a reason."

Dont let the screen name fool you, I am a nice guy, I just like to be different. You can call me Sparky.

I am in Starr next to Iva and Anderson. I would like to come out to the meeting, Greenville is not that far.

I already went up to Uwharrie with a couple of montero guys. I have been in the mountians in North GA. I cant wait to go to Tellico with my Pickup. I really need to move my front axle forward. The tires hit the fire wall and tear up the bottom of the fenders during up travel. I already have the springs to do it, and the hi-steer arms and IFS steering box. I just need a drag link and someone to weld it up for me. I also need some roll over protection and put my Warn XP8274 on it. Yes I said XP8274 as in 6hp. I have a plate with a X8000i on it. I need to go find some pics to put up of the cruiser.

I saw a FJ40 in Iva the other day, almost stock, not restored. It was blue with a hard top and a white front bumper, i think. Anyone from here?

Welcome to the our section of the board. Your more than welcome to come out and see what we are all about. In fact we are doing our Adopt a Highway trash pickup and mothly meeting tomorrow. Feel free to come out and see what we are about. If not chek the calendar of events and this board for club happenings. If you like what you see you can just Paypal the 12 dollars to join. The perks from Ralph Hayes Toyota are worth that alone. Also We have a great group of members and a wealth of knowledge about cruisers.

Wow someone else actually close to me :) I retunred the PM ont he rims.

I am in Due West not too far from you. Welcome to the board.
