Hey everyone, just picked up our GX last Friday to replace our 3rd Gen 4Runner in anticipation of our little girl that's due in June. I've already learned a lot reading the forums, and am glad there's an active community for these rigs as well. First step for me is addressing the rear suspension issues that the car seems to have despite the dealer saying that it had been checked over and is good to go. I have a set of Moog springs on the way and am planning on getting the Metal Tech lower kit, but am trying to find a better solution for the upper spring isolator. Anyone found a solution other than spending ~$150 on 4Runner isolators? Looks like they're 6.5" OD and 5.25" ID. Thanks for any help, here's a pic of the new (old) rig.

When I did my conversion, I did the full metal tech kit. Yes, it was more expensive, but everything was correct and I didn’t have to track down various components to make it work. It was worth the extra money.

Nope. I spent the ~$150 to get new OEM parts (via Amazon). Sometimes it's worth the money to just have a perfect solution immediately. :)

If you have time to search the junk yards, then buy them off a 4Runner. You save money.

If not, then buy them new at $150 for the pair like most of us did.

I just bought the full metal tech kit, didnt have the time or concern to search around and save a few dollars.

I lucked out and found a pair on ebay for $60 and you can find them on Craigslist sometimes. This is the least expensive I could find them new.
