Gents,

I'm in search for a new to me 2F fan, Toyota PN 16301-60090. Does anyone happen to have a new or lightly used fan they would be willing to part with? I have a 1971 piggy...the 1F ended up spinning a bearing. I'm working on putting a 2F into it from a 1976 FJ55. The fan on the 2F has a broken blade, so I need a new one.

I purchased and attempted to use one from a vendor site but it is too thick and ends up putting the fan dangerously close to the radiator.

Let me know, thanks!

How close is dangerously close? I got this fan from Mark A.
Sometimes, there's a spacer between the fan and waterpump that you can do without. The flange on the waterpump shaft can be pushed further in to make a little mor room.
You're not trying to use a fan clutch are you?

Hey pighead,
It's about 1/8" or less from the radiator with a new 6 blade 2F fan that I bought. The new 2F fan is thicker by more than an inch than that of the original 2F fan, see below. I'll double check the water pump for a spacer...I have the original 2 pulley on it as well, nothing fancy. Thanks so much for the suggestions

Mike,

Thanks so much for taking the time to dig through your stash and post photos. The top fan looks like the right unit. I'm just worried about with cracks with the older plastic, if a piece cuts loose, I'll be rebuilding a fresh radiator. Again, thanks for looking but I'll keep hunting. If I fail to find anything, I'll let you know.

Greg,

I was wondering the same thing on the 8 blade...if the fins are longer, they could always be cut back a bit to fit within the existing 1F fan shroud. I don't know if the other dimensions (thickness, hole distances) are the same as the OEM 6 blade fan. Do you know of a way to find those figures or if someone has used that 8 blade in a similar application?

I guess it's time to thumb through some more build threads and research the fine points of 2F fans :)

Thanks guys,

-Mike

The lower fan in your pic has a fan clutch. Those don't go well in a Pig, the direct-drive fan will

I have a couple of used OE 60090 fans on the shelf. You can leave me a voicemail and I’ll pull them off the shelf Monday to snap a pic and call you with pricing.

Need anything else?
