You have a 4.0 liter diesel. Could be the 2h. It looks to be the Sahara model cruiser. Welcome to the 60 series family. Lots of good things to do to these trucks. All the best.

Thanks redback62- I'm running out of time need few parts to be shipped to India through my sister from LA , CA looking for clutch cable, accelerator cable , hand brake cable head gasket kit if someone could help me would be of great help. Is 86 model 4.0l 2H Diesel engine with 5 speed gear box.

Hi friends finally my sister received few things cool cruisers.com which she will carry India on 1st nov I'm pretty surprised and happy guys a mile stone:bounce2::bounce: in poor boy build. Have ordered head gasket kit and exhaust manifold gasket from Australia from just4*4.com once get these things in hand will pull the motor out for head rebuild that's it. Alternator is at the service center waiting for the repair guy to get back on its status one is 24 volt and 12 volt both not in working condition. Left injector service, nosil service, caliberate fuel pump from BOSH hmm replace fluids fire up the motor. Friends and gurus am I going in the rite track? Advice me please.:confused:

You seem to be on the right track. It's always cool to see how these vehicles make there way all over the world.

I wish diesel cruisers had been imported to the United States.

Do you really have to pull the motor out to do a head job? I don't think so on the gas motors but you have a diesel... seems like a lot of work, and if you don't need to, the motor can remain in the vehicle.

Hi everyone, its going to be almost a year without zero updates and progress. few good and bad things made me to bring this project to an halt but was collecting and ordering parts behind the scene.

Bad things first, 1. the person whom i thought will help me in this project actually screw up the whole damn idea to greater exten:bang::bang:t, so decided to fix things on my own with the help of a good friend in my own place.

2. Ordered head gasket kit and injector nozzle but it was damaged extensively while carrying it from Singapore to India:mad::mad:

Hey man, good luck with the restoration. Mine has come a long way - primarily because my father took good care of it. I've driven ever so often to Hyderabad, such a pity we haven't crossed paths. I'm sorry that your parts were damaged while shipping. I know the build up to receiving the parts, and then the realisation that you can't have them fitted.
Keep us posted regarding your progress.

Congrats on the wedding!! She looks and sounds like a great woman and hopefully she will share the joy of wrenching on the cruiser with you!

Sucks that the parts were damaged but hopefully you will get replacements soon enough but for now it looks like you have other things to work on!!
