The containers are on death hold waiting to be released from customs.
goatbeaver said:the government is putting containers coming from AUS on Snail hold. Basically it is wine season in AUS right now and the containers they put the wine in are set in the fields to be loaded. While in the field snails get all over them, i think they are tiger snails. When they are bought to the peer the snails are still on them and then they are loaded on the ship. While on the ship most of the snails fall off but the USDA is afraid some don't and might be on other containers. Once they hit the US peer they are put on snail hold and inspected.
these snails colonize like cockroaches and destroy streams.
That might be the coolest plausible excuse I have ever seen on this forum.
Where do we find info on the container package list? I might want some skid plates.
Harmful aquatic hitchhikers (mud snails, zebra mussels) are incredibly invasive and can destroy river, stream and lake ecosystems. They are a HUGE concern. I wouldn't be surprised to hear them holding these boxes for a while.
Snail holds only usually last up to 3 days and they release them. If they find snails on the container it might hold it up another day. If it is a decimation issue it could be over a week.
So Dennis, did you ever get a new bumper.
If you sig is any indication, it looks like you're looking elsewhere.
If I can ask, what happened?
