Finally decided and place a bumper order: TJM T13. Ironically, TJM hasn't updated their website with the look for the updated T13. It will look like this (minus the fender bars). They've lost the "T" hole and added lights and a more sleek design. Winch mount is on a cradle between the frame rails.

Apparently TJM is investing more in the US market and is moving some containers of goods into the country. ETA 10/29 so hopefully I'll have it on before we're eatin' Turkey. Gives me time to decide on a winch. :)

Special thanks to LT at MetalTech for answering a million questions and helping with the order.

At some point I guess I need to start a build thread... wheels, tires, lift, diff drop, sliders, headers, bumper, winch.

Looks awesome! Can't wait to see it on your truck.. All the bronze hundy's getting built around here;)

Just discovered that there's a separate TJM USA website that shows this bumper. I guess they call it the T13 Outback. Funny, but the CAD drawing of it is shown with the old T13 pics. Once you get past drooling at the 105, you'll see that a bumper is attached to it.

Click on Bull Bar then on Outback:

Is it just me or is the TJM site poorly designed and entirely lacking?

Nope, their website pretty much sucks.

They run few bills less than the equivalent ARB. MetalTech gave me a pretty good price - give LT a call and I'm sure he'll get you a good quote.

What is the difference between the two T-13 models? Also, why not go for the alloy T-15? Wouldn't it be much lighter?

TJM is really shooting themselves in the foot with their online presentation. I love their products but someone willing to drop a grand on a bumper should be allowed to at least see exactly what bumper they are getting and what it looks like on their model of vehicle. What really gets me is that I have seen (on more than one occasion) a picture of the wrong bumper version/model posted when looking up a specific model. If I wanted to order a T-13 and did not know about this forum, I would have given up by now and moved on to another manufacturer.

In other news, that is a great looking bumper you are getting Dennis!

For some reason they've always struggled in the US. When the distributor was in TN it was a total joke, and the website was even worse than that one. It's too bad because they have a great product line and offer a ton of things.

Congrats on the bar and glad to see it's coming through MT, they're good peeps.

From what I understand TJM is trying to re-invest in the US market. I know they're moving some containers of product over. I already have an email out requesting that TJM contact another MUD member about some support for an older product. When they respond I'll suggest that he creates a MUD account to chime in. Would be great to see them as a supporting vendor if they're not already.

Don't know about the structural differences, but I do like the looks for the T13 Outback style.

I'm sure the T15 (alloy) would be fine, but I wanted a steel structure up front. Both for stronger trail protection and as a life safety device in the event of a crash.

Yep - crap website. I read and reread OregonC's directions to the pics of the bumper... still not sure I am looking at the right bumper. Add to that, the pictures are pretty much of only the bumper. I get that that's the product, but I want to see a wider perspective shot - to see how the bumper looks on the whole truck... not just the front 6" ;-)

The silver one in post #1 is pretty much the best overall shot. I agree the bumper only shots of the 105 all seem to be from below and don't give the best representation of how the bumper flows with the truck.

OregonLC thanks for posting up the picture of our new T13 bumper. We are really excited to get them in stock. I would also like to thank all of you for your comments on the web site. Currently our US site is connected to our Australian site. We are in the process of updating the TJM USA section and should have the makes and models correct shortly. We are also working on product pictures separately and on the vehicles. The Australia market is much different then ours. Down under if you want a bumper you just head over to one of the 50 TJM stores and take a look at it. It is definitely a learning curve for them. We will continue to work and improve the site for the US market and we definitely appreciate your patience and help on it. If you have any questions regarding any of our various product lines please do not hesitate to give me a call or shoot me an email.

Thanks for taking the time to post Mike! We know you've got a lot on your plate right now.

I'll make sure to get some good pics of the install process to post up here on Mud. Since mine will be one of the first in the US to get the new T13 style you're more than welcome to use my rig as web shot material while it's still in its virgin state...

Me too...TJM would gain substantial market share if you could input your model and year range and actually see the parts you are interested in. I hope you are reading this Mr. Crosby. I have written every email address with a @TJM.com at the end of it that I could find online from Africa, Australia, and the US inquiring about bumper ends and parking/turn signal indicators for a T-15 (steel) 100 Series and I am batting .000 after 30-40 emails. That is horrible customer service in my book and that is definitely something I will share with people interested in TJM products. What is so difficult about post-sales support? In most of these emails I stated that I would pay just about any cost to complete my current bumper. I am kind of fed up with the whole thing.

Edit: Mike Crosby and I exchanged a few emails this morning and I have to say that I am impressed with the course he is taking in re-introducing TJM to US marketplace. I think he sees the differences in culture between here and OZ and is taking measures to close the gap on what best works with Americans who don't have TJM storefronts to visit within an hour or so. If he keeps up as present I think he is steering the ship in the right direction!
