Sorry to hear Dennis. Are they ordering a new shipment or are you going to take the model they now have in stock?

From what I understand TJM is trying to re-invest in the US market...
Sorry to hear Dennis. Are they ordering a new shipment or are you going to take the model they now have in stock?
Your situation isn't helping their cause any, that's for sure. How frickin' hard is it to make sure that the bumper that has already been ordered and paid for (?) is in the container? Uh huh, really makes everyone else wanna do business with 'em. Hopefully they make this right for you, or it's a crappy start to a reinvigoration of their US presence.![]()
OregonLC said:Well, I went with TJM because I wanted the new style (2011 'Outback') bumper. It was both unique and allowed me to support a great local vendor (MetalTech). The previous T13 is a great bumper I'm sure, it's just not what I was hoping for.
Honestly, my ideal option would be to be the charter customer for a MT front bumper, but that's not in the cards for them right now.
Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't frustrated by the process. It was ordered Oct 4th with the initial information that it had an ETA in LA of Oct 29th. Had I known then that we'd be looking at a January date I'd probably have gone with BIOR. Even if I were to cancel now, I'm not sure that anything else would beat it here by more than a couple of weeks.
In fairness to TJM, their sales director (Mike Crosby) has been prompt with his responses and forthcoming with information. Mistakes happen. It just would have been nice to have had it in hand during the TG break and to have had one more mod checked off the list. And it's not like they can make up for the error by throwing one on an airplane. I have no doubt that once they get their feet under them again in the states that Mike will support the business and they will be an attractive and viable competitor. It's just frustrating to be riding the crosscurrents of their growth. I just need to figure out if I'm going to stick with plan A or cut bait and maybe combine shipping from BIOR on F+R. That is unless Christo posts a Cyber Monday special that can't be beat.![]()
So is it just yours that they screwed up on, or the whole shippment of 100 series bumpers that they brought over are the old design?
OregonLC said:I believe it was the entire shipment that was incorrect.
I wouldn't mind picking one up if they put a LARGE discount on it since it is the old one. However, the new one is definitely much better looking.
Do you know if they sent over any other models like the T3 or T15?
I don't know what all the brought over. My guess is that Mike will chime in here at some point and can answer that.
Was it ever determined which bumpers were actually shipped over here?
From what I understand they shipped the old style T13's. IIRC these are the ones that Slee had on clearance around Christmas time.
