Hi All:

A few years ago I took the original radiator into a local shop for an acid bath, etc. while it was out of the rig. Needless to say it died in the tank!

The shop sold me a Modine brand OE type replacement radiator for around $200. After one year the new radiator failed, and the shop got me another under warranty. The second replacement has held coolant fine for the last three years.

If a geniune Toyota radiator is not too expense I'd go with that option; C-Dan is great to work with!

Regards,

Alan

four core, no matter who you go with....and yes, it will bolt into your frame, and yes it will fit under the hood.

Good luck!

I am quite happy with the Performance radiator rads, I run them in the 40, 60, 62, under $200 and very good quaility.....and I am a OEM nut ;)

For what it is worth, when I had to replace mine 6 months ago I did research and seemed to remeber concluding not all 4 cores are built equal. Normally I would say 4 core for sure like Poser, which is what I did for my 350, but I found (from those cheaper radiator place like Radiator Barn) there are a lot of crappy Asian built 4 cores whose tubing is so narrow and tight to fit in the 4 that many 3 cores actually move more fluid as they are less restricted. So, be sure the 4 core you look at is a quality radiator.

I had this a problem about a month ago....

I ended up ordering a 4 core from CCOT, b/c I was putting an order in anyhow...I also ended up changing all the hoses....and man some of those suck to put on.

One day...I'll get my original radiator serviced so that I can have a spare.

i would be carefull buying from performance radiator, they would not warranty the one i bought from them in my bronco II

i did get the one that CCOT sells for my 40 and its been about 3 1/2 years and no problems and thats with a V-8
