I am restoring a 40 and pulled the radiator out of the shed and put it in the truck.
I looked inside and didn't see anything in there, but I flushed it with the hose just to make sure, a ton of mouse nest and other debris came out.
I got a borescope and looked inside, the flushing worked and there doesn't appear to be any debris, but it looks like the mouse urine ate some metal in there.
I don't know what this metal is, it doesn't appear to be the metal the upper tank is made of, I filled the radiator with water and it wasn't leaking out.
Overall this radiator is in excellent condition other than what you see in this picture.
Is this metal important for the operation of the radiator?
