Marshall,

If you go down there and do trail work, let me know, i'd love to volunteer esp since its right down the road.

Thanks
john

Yep....that is what I meant...you guys drive your rigs and we caravan up and camp over night.....but someone is welcome to ride shotgun but with all my camping gear would be tight for anyone except a midget or contortionist in back. LOL

They are just getting the trails ready. I say we go make one of our own and name it a UC trail. I'm sure with all the map and enviromental people in the club we could come up with something.

I agree......the UC Trail....and if they need a go around it can be the LC Go Around...LMMFAO :D :D :D :D

We talked about this yesterday during our volunteer day with US Forestry Service.....and we are excited and willing to go up and camp overnight to help one weekend. It is a bit further from us than even Gulches but that is how things get started...and maybe one day one will be opened closer to us...but until then we are up for whatever is needed...as long as it does not conflict with one of our scheduled events.

Great idea!

I just heard about a OHV park and campground in Little River in N.C. also. Carolina...something, anyone know that one?

I just talked to one of the owners. They are not open officially for business and pretty much have enough people cutting trails but could possibly use some help trimming a few trees or brush back. What they really need are about 10 more loads (I assume dumptruck size) of some cheap rock or recycled concrete for their entrance driveway. If anyone knows of some please let me know.

One of the owners, Jason, wants to have us come out to check the place out and ride some of the trails to see what we think of them. Almost anytime works for him as they are out there most everyday working.

I was thinking about heading out there next Sat or Sun - Jan 31 or Feb 1. Is anyone interested?

If some people from the far away lands are interested in coming up I can try to arrange some lodging in my guest bedroom - but I have to clear it with the :princess: first.

I'm in! I just spoke with a Hi-Lux guy who said it looks like it will be sweet when finished.
I'm only 20 or so minutes away and the Cabin would be available as an overnight crash pad.
You'd have to keep the fireplace and potbelly stove going for heat however. :hillbilly:
I'd also like any jugs that get drained from the Jug Bar to be re-stocked. ;)
There is only a single bed but plenty of room for air mattresses or sleeping bags.
I have a couple of them on hand in Yodel (the swiss army camping trailer).
We also have a guest room at the main house as well.
