I would appreciate it if you could bring it. :D

I have never replaced the wire, if the crimps are checked/tightened/soldered before damage is done, the wire is fine.

You have to change the wire. But you must never mention it. You have to let people ask about it. Oh, and you need a refrigerator.

Must I also change the wire on the refrigerator and never mention it?

He already has the compressor. Can't he just attach it to an ice chest and call it a refrigerator?:hillbilly::idea: You expo guy have to make everything so difficult.

I could probably put the refrigerator where my aux tank was removed, plenty of room now!! :hillbilly:

Thanks for the tip Ben, now I gotta buy a frig...

You know what's coming next...

Good, but you can never use the axe.

Wait for it...

your truck would move better without the expedition stickers :flipoff2:

The wire needed is going to depend on actual, running amp draw and length. What works on the MV50 is irrelevant. A few in the club have amp meters, maybe one can arrive at Cottonwood or the Sonic meet to get real running numbers?

The biggest issue I have seen on the MV50s is the connector crimps. They are sometimes not crimped tight, so the poor connection causes heating, melting of insulation/fuse holder/etc. I have never replaced the wire, if the crimps are checked/tightened/soldered before damage is done, the wire is fine.

I was on your board looking for the CSC Cruise Moab thread, which looks like it has not started yet. Drew, Norm (JDM Norm) and I (Glenn) are coming to CM again and looking forward once again to hook up with your delightful bunch to do the pre-Moab deal!

Anyhow back to the compressor thread. After running with you guys last year at CM I wired two the MV-50's in series to run off my 24 volt system. I have no room for the Puma, which I admit is the better way to go. I mounted them on their sides and rewired them as described below ( threw out the switches relay and wiring). They work fine - I air up 2 tires at a time.

Let us know what runs you guys pick for CM and we will tag along.

happy trails ...
Glenn
