You gonna do battery cable? I thought welding cable would be more flexible but maybe I am wrong. Is the cable your buying come as a 2 conductor cable or 2 separate wires? Just curious.

What is your goal? For a portable unit, I would just get jumper cables? Only needs to be 8' or so, 8G should be plenty? At 6' the drop is only 4.3% with the stock 10G, good to go.:hillbilly:

Ok John, what color connectors are you looking to buy? Quantity (two required to mate)? Any accessories like a handle or strain relief? You obviously want 6 gauge.

Anyone else? Phil, my offer still stands from the PM.

My goal is to be able to connect without opening the hood, be able to sit the pump on the ground at least next to my PS front tire and have minimal drop.

I'd take two pair in 6 gauge, gray.

Sorry, I was not interested in 2 separate wires to drag around each time I get it out.

Easy to do cash, it does fit in my pocket better. Let me know when, where, how much. Can I pick them up before Feb meet?

I just got an E-mail this morning saying they shipped today. Will probably be early next week when I get them.

Let me know when they come in and we'll get together before the next meet. Good news is when I went to NAPA to buy my bulk 6 gauge wire, they also have bulk 6 gauge twin lead, like jumper cable. Might be just what you are looking for. I didn't get a chance to get back to you about the hitch remains. I would be interested, but, I think the open end of the receiver might be too short to stick out thru my bumper and still have room for a support collar. I already have a prefabbed hitch receiver tube, but I still need to cut thru the bumper and support and then come up with supports for the inside end. John

Hey John... there here...

Kool. When's a good time to catch up with you? I work nights, so I am available most days. John

Not sure where you live John but I work near the Broadway curve (2343 W. Medtronic Way, Tempe, AZ 85281). I live at 51st Ave and Baseline and I think that is on the other side of the valley from you.

I will send you my E-mail in PM

I was trying to figure out what kind of connectors you were talking about while being lazy and not searching the interweb, I used those on the Ford at the rear to connect to the winch on the trailer. Used the ones for 0 gauge wire a couple years ago, very nice setup, you will love them, just put some electric grease in the plug and it makes them come apart and go together much nicer as they wear and get a bit dirty. Plus you can make a great set of jumper cables that wont get borrowed unless your truck is around.
